Some of life's best moments happen around the Kitchen Table. After dinner is put away, my kitchen table becomes my work space to record life's memories.

Top 10 of 2012

Happy New Year!

So, I am not a very good blogger.  Lately, I haven't been doing much scrapping, either.   Again, I am inspired by others to dust off this corner of the web and make a post.   I am seeing top 10 lists everywhere, so I thought I would follow suit.  I wasn't sure I even had 10 projects from 2012 to share.  I hope to be much more productive in 2013. Here the my top 10 projects (that I have photos of), in no particular order;

A Scraplift Challenge

This past weekend I got together with a couple of my CC friends for a weekend of scrapping fun. While there I watched Kathy do a layout she had sketched herself . . . using circles to make a heart. I loved it so much that I decided to scraplift.   In fact, I had mine done before Kathy finished her own.

Here's Kathy’s layout:

Here's my scraplift:

We decided to have a "Scraplift" Challenge. Both of us are offering some  blog candy from our stashes. :)

Here's what you need to do to be eligible - Do a new project (layout, card, altered art, etc) by "scraplifting" my heart layout . . . adding, subtracting, changing or keeping the same, however you are inspired. Once you have your project done, go to Kathy’s blog and link it up Mr. Linky.

You can link up by posting on your blog or any online photo sharing site. Then leave a comment here.  Yes, there are two opportunities to win!

You have till Sept. 1 at 10am Central to post your project.  We can't wait to see what everyone comes up with.

I spent last weekend at Memories on Marshall with 3 other scrappers and managed to get 8 pages done in between the laughing, eating, and a bit of sleeping.  It is a great reatreat house and the hosts really know how to make you feel comfortable.  Home made meals were so yummy!  If you have the opportunity, I highly recommend a visit.  We had so much fun we booked a weekend next March.  Let me know if you are interested in joining us.

Here are a couple of my projects;

The blog hop is over and deadline has passed for projects.  Thank you to all who visited my blog for the unofficial Crop Chocolate hop.

All entries went into a had and Julie Odil is the winner of my blog candy stash.  Happy Happy!

I wasn't able to get anything crafty done this week.  I hope to get more creative in the coming months...  Lots of ideas but low on mojo..

Welcome to the Unoffical Crop Chocolate.com blog hop!   If you are not familiar with CropChocolate, it is a great scrappy company to check out.   Tell Jon & everyone "hi"!  They are hosting a Scrappy retreat for their customers this weekend.  A group of lucky ladies are taking a pilgramage to Salt Lake City to meet, scrap, shop, and have fun.

This blog hop is for those of us "left behind".  Or, those of us who couldn't for one reason or another make the trip.

If I were going to the retreat this weekend, I know a lot of my scrapbook pages would be about this special occasion.

This challenge is to make a project celebrating the every day moments.

Here are a couple of examples from my personal gallery -

Please post a link to your project in the comments section of this post. Become a follower here on my new blog and you will be entered into my blog candy drawing.   I will draw a random winner for a grab bag from my personal stash next Thursday, July 5.

Be sure to visit these other blogs for other opportunities to challenge yourself this week - Be sure to make a comment.. one lucky scrapper will win  a $10 Crop Credit on CropChocolate.com, "HomeMade" mini theme by EP, "blue Jean" paper by doodlebug and some distress inks.
